May Leong, born in Macau and raised in the U.S., discovered her passion for design and art at a young age. Surrounded by the world of design—whether it was interior, fashion, graphic, or patterns—May always envisioned a life filled with creativity. In high school, she set her sights on creating her own brand. Since the age of five, she has earned numerous awards in painting and art, which fueled her entrepreneurial spirit as she grew her business. AT ROMANCE has been recognized for six consecutive years in the 2024 Best of San Bruno Awards for Bridal and Wedding Business and has qualified for the San Bruno Business Hall of Fame in 2024.

Driven by her vision, May pursued a degree in Industrial Design at San Francisco State University, honing her skills across various design disciplines, including graphic design, fashion, sewing, product development, packaging, and 3D modeling. In her 20s and 30s, she worked in international business at Persona Global, where she gained invaluable experience in consulting and expanded her global perspective. She credits her mentor for guiding her not only in business but in life, which gave her the confidence to pursue her dreams.

In 2017, May returned to her original passion and vision by founding AT ROMANCE. What began as a bridal gown, evening gown rental, and custom gown design service has since evolved into a full-service wedding business. Today, AT ROMANCE offers custom gown design, photography, videography, event planning, and décor, helping couples bring their dream weddings to life. May’s mission is to infuse every celebration with beautiful design and a personal touch, ensuring each couple’s special day is uniquely theirs.
